highlights : preserve formatting and include images

like title say, the highlight feature should : preserve original formatting and line breaks detect and render code blocks be able to capture text and images in a single pass (diigo can do it) see attached image : the current highlight is not very useful (memex sidebar on the right, original page on the left)

Obsidian Integration

Based on the various conversations we had with some of you, these are the top 3 features we want to deliver in priority: Search Memex and reference content from within Obsidian In-line dynamic list representation of Memex content based on queries E.g. “In my page about my research about Nuclear Energy safety show me all the things I saved that I tagged with “#nuclear-energy” and that talk about safety related topics. One-way-export pages/annotations with specific tags (or all) to Obsidian

Sorting & Grouping options

Would be nice to get some standard sorting & grouping options for our bookmarks & highlights. Sort by: domain date added date modified custom (drag & drop!!!) Group by: …. (same options) Also some extra view options wouldn’t hurt. I’m considering coming over from Raindrop.io, which I use as a) Bookmark Manger b) Web Highlighter c) Read It Later app It works reasonably well… What I like is that I can set a custom order for my bookmarks with drag & drop, which is important for me -– I don’t like software to decide for me in which order I see things. Also, you can finetune exactly which info you get to see in your folders: just the url? Just the article title? Tags? Timestamps? So in this department Raindrop (for now) is more user friendly. Still, it’s mainly a bookmark manager… My current issue with Raindrop is that it’s impossible to get my articles + highlights into Notion without a huge hassle. Also, it’s not really made to annotate the web; -– just highlight it (a bit). Hope to see Memex evolve into a direction that will be suitable for me! 🙂

Error syncing mobile and extension

Hi, Looked for a long time which service to change to from Diigo, that I had been using for 10 years. Found Memex and thought this was it. Now, however, I’m experiencing issues with syncing. I’ve had the feeling that some of the things I’ve saved have dissapeared, but thought it just has to be me who is being forgetful, that I probably just read it but that but never saved it. But I started checking cross referencing the mobile app and my library in the extension, and there is a lot of stuff missing! What’s going on? I’m a paying user and would love to have a working service. Is this temporary or do I need to start looking for an alternative?

Readwise Export Format

Right now, when my Memex content gets exported to Readwise, the link of the content also ends up in the title of the Readwise export, and I don't like that. Is there a way to customize the Readwise format so that the link doesn't end up in the title? For eg., if I clip a YouTube video or put a note onto a YouTube video, the title of the YouTube video will be there, followed by the URL of the video itself. I'm looking for a way to avoid that, and I don't want the URL to show up in the title.
