Sharing of folders and search results
We want to make it possible for you to share your curations with other people via the interface as well as the agent APIs. This means the following use cases will be possible: 1. Sharing a folder with tags with other people so they can search inside this subset of your curations, and view your notes 2. Giving other people’s agents the ability to search a customisable subset of your curations 3. Sharing a up-to-date list of a specific search query (e.g. “Everything i tagged with #politics in the last week”)
Extension not respecting blocked domains
As stated. Extension isn’t respecting blocked domains/websites. It’s quite frustrating as it keeps overlaying itself across (it seems specific to a pop-out tab that’s scaled down to 20%)
Dashboard issues
It won’t let me remove the X/Twitter tag group or the preset content types (specifically Twitter). Light mode also doesn’t work.
new dashboard is great but some missing features (UI/UX)
thanks for the new dashboard, great addition ! it would be nice to have a button on the sidebar to open the dashboard from the dashboard, it would be nice to have a button to open settings I guess the feature request is to have more feature parity and similar ux between sidebar and dashboard ?
highlights : preserve formatting and include images
like title say, the highlight feature should : preserve original formatting and line breaks detect and render code blocks be able to capture text and images in a single pass (diigo can do it) see attached image : the current highlight is not very useful (memex sidebar on the right, original page on the left)
Obsidian Integration
Based on the various conversations we had with some of you, these are the top 3 features we want to deliver in priority: Search Memex and reference content from within Obsidian In-line dynamic list representation of Memex content based on queries E.g. “In my page about my research about Nuclear Energy safety show me all the things I saved that I tagged with “#nuclear-energy” and that talk about safety related topics. One-way-export pages/annotations with specific tags (or all) to Obsidian
Adding more search filters (type, time)
Right now we only support full text and semantic searches, though want to offer more ways to filter. Basically only missing the UI.
Read Rest API + Webhooks
Adding the ability to: Listen to new saved pages/annotations created Query for saved pages/annotations by time, type, url Query natural language endpoints for semantic searches “Give me all content I saved related to the honey diet”
PDF Support
Bringing back PDF support into Memex V2, but better Annotating PDFs Summarize PDFs of any size, including charts and images PDF cloud storage
New Mobile App
An overhauled mobile app that has: Lightening fast, reliable sync Save content on the fly: Web Tweets Youtube videos Images (auto analysed for search) Screenshots (auto analysed for search) Search Full Text: “Honey Diet” Semantic: “What did I save about the honey diet and FGF-21”
Sorting & Grouping options
Would be nice to get some standard sorting & grouping options for our bookmarks & highlights. Sort by: domain date added date modified custom (drag & drop!!!) Group by: …. (same options) Also some extra view options wouldn’t hurt. I’m considering coming over from Raindrop.io, which I use as a) Bookmark Manger b) Web Highlighter c) Read It Later app It works reasonably well… What I like is that I can set a custom order for my bookmarks with drag & drop, which is important for me -– I don’t like software to decide for me in which order I see things. Also, you can finetune exactly which info you get to see in your folders: just the url? Just the article title? Tags? Timestamps? So in this department Raindrop (for now) is more user friendly. Still, it’s mainly a bookmark manager… My current issue with Raindrop is that it’s impossible to get my articles + highlights into Notion without a huge hassle. Also, it’s not really made to annotate the web; -– just highlight it (a bit). Hope to see Memex evolve into a direction that will be suitable for me! 🙂
Add Startpage to list of supported Search Engines
Startpage is a privacy friendly search engine like DuckDuck Go, only it’s more reliable. 😀 It also provides better search results. Can it be added to the supported Search Engines? I think the option to show Memex bookmarks on your search engine page is a killer feature. Thank you!
Disabling notification
I’m using this to save parts I want to go over in the future. I don’t want to see notifications that distract whatever I’m doing. This is a dealbreaker. Is there a way to disable them?
Readwise Export Format
Right now, when my Memex content gets exported to Readwise, the link of the content also ends up in the title of the Readwise export, and I don't like that. Is there a way to customize the Readwise format so that the link doesn't end up in the title? For eg., if I clip a YouTube video or put a note onto a YouTube video, the title of the YouTube video will be there, followed by the URL of the video itself. I'm looking for a way to avoid that, and I don't want the URL to show up in the title.
More better support for highlights on articles on readcube.com a web based reference manager
Can you improve the highlights on readcube.com. Better Word spacing, improvement in highlights and capture of cite meta data from articles. thanks
Improvement in readwise sync
Editing highlights in memex creates a new copy of not in readwise instead to modifying it. Can you improve on that
Support for coursera, Edx and other online course websites video
Can you add memex youtube toolbar for websites such as coursera, edx, udemy, swayam etc
multiple selecting
Enabling users to remove several notes at once from the dashboard would be a great help.
