Obsidian Integration
Based on the various conversations we had with some of you, these are the top 3 features we want to deliver in priority:
Search Memex and reference content from within Obsidian
In-line dynamic list representation of Memex content based on queries
E.g. “In my page about my research about Nuclear Energy safety show me all the things I saved that I tagged with “#nuclear-energy” and that talk about safety related topics.
One-way-export pages/annotations with specific tags (or all) to Obsidian

I am curious what your experience with the old obsidian sync was and how you would improve it - before we start implementing it again?

I think that the key is NOT forcing to do like this (as before)…
export from Memex → Import into Obsidian
… because it would create duplication of our data, so there's a huge risk of adding data mamually to both places, causing a mess of data.
The key (I'd bet) IS just embedding (rendering) the data from Memex into Obsidian, allowing to perform searches and filters on table views (or other comfortable ways). Even if would be great the ability for editing the content at Memex through these embedding (in Obsidian), for instance modifying notes, tagging, foldering…
This way, the data would live in just one place (Memex), UNLESS the user needs to import some of it into Obsidian for expanding such content (linking to other notes, writing own thoughts…), which is the huge power of Obsidian.
Video timestamp capabilities (with Memex) would also be hugely appreciated (with begin & end, not only beginning). This would allow processing excerpts into our PKM, which is something I miss a lot when working with Obsidian.
