Become open-source
Right now Memex is not open-source, just partially source-available. Some of the libraries needed to build Memex are not available, and there is no open-source license attached to the codebase. See these links for more discussion:

Hey sorry, that was just an oversight.
Yeah we're not going open source anytime soon.
We have some stuff as source available, and don't have the time to untangle the other bits to make more of it build-able on its own.
We'll consider it for the future but we want to pick another battle that is more important:
How we design our economic incentives right to stay long term aligned with our people.
In particular we wanted to remove the profit maximisation incentives that usually lead to extractive behaviour. But that requires us also to be a financially sustainable company.
Fundraising like this is already tough, and then also being open-source is just too much.
