Not the original poster but having same issues:
see original lists
Then try to search 연금:
Returns only item among 2, even though those 2 posts include exactly same word 소셜연금.

This should be out now in 3.8.10.
Can you double check if it works. Mind that it WON'T work on existing pages unfortunately.

With latest updates, KR search now shows non matching results unexpectedly:
Only one item (the first one) have a matching keyword to search keyword, others does not have matching words.
This is newly added pages after updates.

I am confused, looking at this, it does look like it is matching no? Aren't those the same characters?

See the rest of pages below the first matching one: there are no matching words but search result says it is matching.

Ok, I need to investigate this more. Can you send me the links to all articles in your search results and your query as the characters here so I can do the search myself and investigate the database?
Both of those characters appear separately in the text. I need a bit of help her since I implemented this with researching (And not knowing) the structure of korean.
In my understanding originally, Korean characters are more like the latin alphabet insofar that they don't make sense on their own. Only together they make a word.
In Chinese that is different and each character can be its own word.
So when I originally implemented the splitting of characters for Korean, I left them as words - and not as characters in the index.
I can revert that but need your help to make double sure: In Korean language, characters make up words like in Latin/english, and are not individually meaningful like in Chinese?

Unfortunately it's not that simple, a composed char can be a word or either a part of the word depends on the context. I do not think I am knowledge enough to summarize those rules in short sentence.
