Make the anotation sidebar a real side-bar instead of an overlay
I find the annotation sidebar extremely difficult to use because it covers up parts of the page I'm annotating. This is particularly annoying when watching youtube videos.
Please make it so that the sidebar pushes content to the left instead of sliding on top of it.

This is already possible!
Just click on the "reader mode" button and it will do exactly that.
It will also prevent clicks outside of the sidebar.

I think, in both modes it overlaps the Youtube video in theater mode ?? or am I doing something wrong?

yeah you are right. the problem is that the shrinking is a rather hacky approach of modfiying the body-width we have unfortunately no ability to influence the width on a higher level than that.
However as I type this I have an idea on how to solve your problem and I'll try out something soon.
Essentially I could make a youtube specific solution that makes sure to shrink the video element down to the size needed.
Will report back!

Mhh I checked and had no luck. I can't modify the youtube frame individually. If you go out of the cinema mode the sidebar fits however, you can also drag its size if that's helpful.

Yea, I know. Yet on widescreen/ultrawide screen the gap to the left of video becomes very big and kinda disturbing, at least for me. That is okay tho :/ Thank you for giving it a shot anyway, hopefully it will be solvable in the future.

yeah had this on my screen too :( I am thinking about adding the notes also as cards on the video timeline. Need some smaller re-architecture though and that is not a priority right now.
