merge spaces and better space management

Feature Requests

  1. Option to merge spaces. When I rename my space and the space already exists, it would be great if there was another option to "merge" these two spaces. I love to tidy up now and then.

  2. When I want to drag a space from the top to a space as a subspace right at the bottom it is a long drag when I have many spaces. In the long run a own page to merge, divide or organize spaces would help.

    Thanks Simon for the feedback, good ideas too. Been running into both of those issues myself.

    We have a few other things on the map right now so it'll be a few weeks until we get to this but I see it as one of those quality of life improvements that are really important for the few times you need them - almost dealbreaker type annoying too.

    What we are up to next is:

    • A big overhaul to the search interface to:

      • have page and annotation results in the same view when searching

      • view and search saved images (including AI based indexing)

      • "Exact term search" for phrases in quotation marks

      • MUCH MUCH faster content type search (and search speed overall)

    • Mobile title search and space/domain filters (and maybe even full text search)

    • Mobile PDF support

    • Better integration with auto-sync into other PKM tools (Tana, Roam, Notion, Remnote)
